Quarto, 10 3/4" tall, xxxi + 576 + 22 steel plate illustrations, gilt titles on three-quarter decorative leather over brown cloth, gilt fore-edges. A good hardcover overall (interior very good minus) BUT with back strip missing and covers loose, fore-corner tips worn through to boards; internal binding solid, paper lightly yellowed, steel plate engravings bright, but with light foxing primarily on verso of plates and at some margins, and with previous owner's signature and short inscription with year 1869 penned on flyleaf. This larger and heavier volume will require some additional postage.
