Illustrative of the life and career of Dan Crawford, Scottish missionary of the Plymouth Brethren in central and southern Africa, also known as 'Konga Vatu,' meaning 'gatherer of people' due to his welcoming of numerous refugees after the brutal overtaking of Katanga from the Congo Free State's agents. Scarce first edition of this work, written by George Edwin Tilsley.Illustrated with a frontispiece and further plates throughout. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally smart with minor shelf wear, bumping to head and tail of spine, back strip faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Very Good
