Winnipeg: Winnipeg Art Gallery, 1974. First edition. Staplebound Wraps. Very Good. Unpaginated; booklet in red card covers, approx7 x 8 inches; staplebound. Slight rubbing at spine and edges, overall VG clean condition. Foreword by Ferdinand Eckhardt, Director of the WAG. This is the catalog of an exhibit of art from the collection of Arnold and Florence Brigden, donated to the Winnipeg Art Gallery and exhibited as part of the City of Winnipeg Centennial from May 30 - October 14, 1974. A complete list of the collection is accompanied by B & W and some colour photos of selected works. The essay by Curator Patricia Bovey outlines the history of Brigdens as a commercial art business, the development of the collection by Mr. and Mrs. Brigden, and their importance in Winnipeg arts and cultural circles.
