A Near Fine copy with three discreet spots to the bottom edge of the rear board in Very Good plus price-clipped dust jacket with a small narrow stain to the lower rear panel. Upon his return to America from the far regions of the world and seeking a place among the "woods and templed hill" where he could live a full and vigorous and free life, Kent discovered a beautiful spot in the Adirondacks. In This is My Own Rockwell Kent, the farmer-artist, has written not only a narrative of a rural way of life ...but a declaration of faith. An excellently printed and bound volume. Illustrated with a cornucopia of Kent's illustrations, on nearly every other page. Not an account of his whole life, but substantially devoted to his fight, with his neighbors, with the railroad that threatened his rural way of life in the Adirondacks. In addition to wrigint and illustrationg this book, Mr. Kent deisgned is dust jacket, binding, tittle-page, type page, and format. Note: if you do not buy this book, I will not mind keeping it ( I have had it twice before, but not this nice a copy). If you do buy it, you will have the pleasures of enjoying it.
