Postcards. 12 split back color souvenir postcards with various scenes from Egypt, in paper envelope from Bishareen Bazaar "Booksellers and Photographers" in Aswan, presumably acquired at the same time. Includes B&W photo card of the Savoy Hotel in Aswan, two copies of an illustrated card of the Savoy Hotel on the Elphantine Island by C. Westtke, an interior of Medinet Habout at Thebes, the Temple at Louxor, the Grand Pylone d'Edfou at Edfou, the Collinnades at Luxor (Lichtenstern and Harari, Cairo, No. 77), a shot of a motif (L&H, Cairo, No. 187), the inner hypostyles at Karnak (L&H, Cairo, No 188), the Charah Sidi Ahmed El Badavi at Tantah, the mosque at Caire (Cairo), and the Partie de desert at Aswan. With standard postcard backing. Each 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches.

Indian Building, Albuquerque N.M.; Old Navaho Bayetta Blanket from Fred Harvey Blanket Collection. Albuquerque N.M.; Church of San Felipe. Old Town of Albuquerque, N.M.; Rio Grande Bridge. Aluquerque, N.M. Fred Harvey formed the Harvey House restaurants along the southwestern railroad line.Three postcards on one side, two on the verso, on gray album paper. Old Navaho Bayetta Blanket card slt dusty at edges.

1905. Very good condition. Unused color postcards of Pasadena, including: A Pepper Drive in California; Mt. Lowe from Hotel Raymond, Pasadena, Cal; San Gabriel Mission, California; Pasadena and Mountains, Winter Scene; A California Residence; and Old Baldy in Winter from the Orange Groves. Three postcards per side, on gray green album sheet. The 'Pepper Drive' postcard a bit toned at the right side of the image; the other cards bright and clean.

1940. Postcard. Very good condition. A real-photo b & w postcard of Camp Forsyth army installation, mailed to Miss Sara Rome in Glen Head, New York on June 14, 1940, with cancelled 1-cent Washington stamp. Unused, with Defender logo (ca. 1910-1920), size 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches.

London: A & C Black, 1922. Postcard. Illustrated postcard of a fairy playing music for bunnies with caption "Anne plays the pipes." From The Enchanted Forest (1921) by Ida Rentoul Outhwaite (1888-1960), the Australian illustrator of children's books. From the Elves and Fairies Series (No. 76). Sent to Peggy Biruie of Karachi, India. 3 1/2 by 5 inches.

1919. Very good condition. A group of 12 hand-painted postcards depicting women's fashion in the 1920s. The 5 artist signatures include "Rucio", "Orcina' and "Susie" with 2 undecipherable. All are in the style of the pochoir fashion magazine "Le Gazette du Bon Ton". On the verso is the standard postcard information for France "Carte Postale. La Correspondance au recto n'est pas acceptee par tous les pays etrangers (Se renseigner a la poste)" with a split back, the address on the right and room for correspondence on the left. Two cards by "Susie" are charming - one woman is dressed in a blue sailor's suit, the duffle bag slung over her shoulder, with the notation "U.S.A.". In the other, the young woman is wearing a short pink and blue striped outfit, holding a nest of eggs, the suggestive caption saying "Nous aussi nous retrouverons bientot notre cher petit nid!" Verso has East Eddington, Maine postmark dated July 1906 with 1-cent Franklin stamp and handwritten address to Miss Rosalie Chick of Clifton Maine. 3 1/2 by 5 inches.

New York: Edward Gross Co.. Postcard. Verso has standard postcard backing, no stamp or writing. Small stain on front in lower left and rubbing in upper left.. Postcard reproduction of the popular American Girl series. The subject is in pigtails wearing a red hat and holding two books. This is number 40 in the series. 3 1/2 by 5 inches.

With 'Stamp Series 20 for 10 cts' printed vertically at the right hand edge, and Bognard, Paris below that. 4 1/2 x 3 1/4". With a small circular perforation at the left edge.

Tomer J. Hileman, 1930. Postcard. Very good condition. A real-photo sepia postcard of Chief Eagle Calf, Blackfoot, from Glacier National Park by Tomer Hileman. Hileman (1882 -1945) was known for his prolific photographs of Glacier National Park, and was also the official photographer for the Great Northern Railroad beginning in 1924. Unused, size 3 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches.

Color post card of large group of Chinese children dressed in Sunday best clothes, the little girls in charming dresses of red, blue, yellow and pink, and with the number 1-119 at the upper right corner of the card. Not mailed, with sword logo of Pacific Novelty Co., San Francisco on the verso of the card. Very good. HKD155.

1920. Otherwise very good condition. Hand made color post card with charming collage illustration of a Chinese junk made of strips of postage stamps. Not mailed, with 'Made in China' at the lower edge, verso of card. Verso of card evenly toned.

1910. Postcard. Good, Some bumping at corners and soiling.. Christmas postcard with gold edge and mistletoe showing three children sledding down hill. Addressed on verso to Earl Culver with 1-cent Franklin stamp, cancelled at Hoboken, New Jersey on December 14, 1910. 3 1/2 by 5 inches.

1920. Very good condition. Collection of printed photograph post cards in color and b&w, including one real b& w photograph post card titled "Mineing (sic) Safety Device Plant, Bowerston, Ohio". New Philadelphia is the largest city and county seat of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, located south of Cleveland and northeast of Columbus. Images of the area in and around New Philadelphia include: Public Square (bit marked on verso); North Broadway; Scene Near new Philadelphia, Ohio (stone bridge over river); C & P Depot; B. & O. Depot (very small chip lower left corner); B. & O. Depot by Night (very small chip lower left corner); East Avenue, New Philadelphia; Belmont Stamping & Enameling Co.; Scene Along the B. & O. R. R. by Night (used, message in pencil addressed to Mr. C. E. Leggett, New Philadelphia); South Broadway Bridge; and The Dam. Post cards with divided backs, one posted, a few a bit rubbed, otherwise very good condition.

Sydney: The Rose Stereographs, 1920. A collection of 48 real photo postcards, Rose Series P - these particularly not found on Trove, with 24 street scenes of Sydney, 8 of Sydney gardens and 16 cards of the Blue Mountains. Sydney postcards include Pitt St., George St., Macquarie St., Central Railway Station, Circular Quay, Bridge St., Elizabeth St., Woolcott St., Martin Place, Town Hall Corner, Government House, the Custom House, and Railway Square. The nature scenes include the Jenolan Caves, National Pass, Katoomba and Loddon Falls, Centennial Glen, Blackheath and Fairy Dell Cascades, Leura, Blue Mountains. In very good condition overall, some with sml marginal faults.
