Mild wrinkle to spine end. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate or marks and not BCE, ex-library or remaindered. Inscribed on the front free endpaper "For Laurie, Avedon Dallas 1979." Printed acetate dust jacket is unclipped ($50.00) with yellowing to spine and front and one inch closed tear to top back. 162 black and white photographs in the text. 10 3/4" X 14" tall. Introductory essay by Harold Brodkey.
Images by Richard Avedon whose fashion and portrait photographs helped define America's image of style, beauty and culture for the last half-century. This folio size work depicts many of the glamorous, rich and famous people of the era.
