London: Macmillan and Co, 1928. 1st Edition . Cloth. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Green cloth binding with gilt lion on the front cover. Bowing to the covers, some marking, faded patch on the spine. Neat pictorial Belfast library bookplate on the endpaper, their low visibility blindstamp (no ink) on the title and on the plates, remains of label on the endpaper and very faint number on the title reverse. The pages are pretty clean, repaired tear to page 9/10. Pages; VIII, 246, (2). With 8 sheets of colour plates of African animals.

London: Chapman and Hall, 1893. Cloth. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Blue cloth binding. Faded patch at the fore-edge of the rear cover and one or two minor marks, tidy looking volume, hinges good. Overpulled a bit in the centre, toning to the pages. Inscription of Milford David Library on the endpaper (somebodys private library). Pages; 316, 16. With 8 sheets of plates by Marcus Stone and Frederick Walker (checked complete).

London: Simpkin, Marshall & Co., 1888. Decorative Cloth. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Blue cloth, decorated on the spine and front cover. Rubbing and some fading to the covers, rubbed at the edges. The hinges are in good order, endpapers renewed. The pages are pretty clean, a few marks in places, old brown adhesive mark to the inner margin between the title reverse and preface, and between 14 & 15 (fairly minor). Pages; 231, (1), + 10 pages of ads (8 pages of interesting ads related to Plymouth & 2 pages relating to another book by the author on ancient crosses). 6 sheets of plates (4 are photographic plates of the area), + 15 smart looking woodcut vignette scenes.

Blue cloth binding, faded mark around the outside of the front cover, otherwise in pretty good condition, the hinges are in good order. Bright internally, light browning to the endpapers and to the frontispiece tissue guard, some toning in a few places. Pages; X, (4), 199, (1). Frontispiece of Francis Drake. Ballads on the great Elizabethan mariners. 1st collected edition.

Contains 21 thick photographic sheets of bridges with captions, throughout Australia, privately printed with title and company details on the front cover, so no title page as such (engineers label at the front of the book stating they were associated with most of the bridges). Charmingly illustrated and well written volume of a 1880's bike tour through southern England to Canterbury. Good reading copy. Pages; 78, (2). Illustrated by the authors. Shrewsbury: L. Wilding, 1899. 1st Edition . Cloth. Good. Green cloth binding, the colour is faded on the spine, mark from a label at the base of the spine, a couple of small pinprick nicks near the title, the covers are fairly tidy. Browning to the endpapers, foxing to the first and last few sheets (one or two spots inbetween), in this copy the errata sheet is pasted over the list of Historians (early issue). With some of the errata corrected. Ex Belfast library, with neat pictorial bookplate on the endpaper, and neat low visibility blindstamp (without ink) at the top corner of the title and plates. Contains 24 sheets of photographic plates mostly of animals that have been shot and killed in the area and then stuffed and put in a case (maybe the title should have been the dead fauna of Shropshire). Pages; XII, 248, (6).
