Inscribed by the author and his wife on ffep "Pour Ann et Warner ce livre d'un 'Haverford boy' de l'anee 1951-1952 avec toute notre fidele et chaleureuse amitié - Michele et Maurice." Prof. Gonnaud and Prof. Warner Berthoff were colleagues at Bryn Mawr College in the 1950s and friends ever after.
