Small 8vo (5-1/2" x 8-1/4"), mottled blue-green paper on boards with green cloth quarter, silver gilt lettering on spine, light shelf wear/rubbing, edges and page margins age-toned, paperclip stain to front pastedown and ffep. Names of former owners Profs. Ann and Warner Berthoff written on ffep, her notes on front pastedown and one page, very small pencil marks in margins of approximately 15 pages.

Very Good. 28 Roman-numeralled pages precede the 226 photographs on unnumbered pages, some of which take up a page or more, while some are smaller photos grouped on one page. Black and white photographs taken by the author Eudora Welty in her native Mississippi, most of them during her time as a Works Progress Administration "publicity agent, junior grade" during the Great Depression; at the end of the book are photos of her family. Introduction by Reynolds Price is followed by a 1989 interview with Welty on her career in photography, its techniques and various cameras. 9" x 10", reading crease, light shelf wear, a bit of soil to edges, pages unmarked. Bonus: a laid-in 2009 clipping from the TLS - essay by Paul Binding, an appreciation of EW's work in this field. The higher cost that shipping this heavy book will incur has been incorporated into the price.

Line drawings by Joe Krush. Mass-market paparback, spine creased, wraps rubbed along spine and lightly soiled, edges tinted green, edges and end papers age-tanned, no writing within.

Contains A Curtain of Green and Other Stories (1941) and The Wide Net and Other Stories (1943) in their entirety, with an introduction by Katherine Anne Porter dated 1941. 12mo (4-7/8" x 7-1/4"), green cloth with gilt lettering on black blocks, decorative end papers with ML logos, top edge tinted and other edges age-toned, boards lightly soiled, sunned, frayed at corners and rubbed along spine. Still a sturdy little edition. Name of former owner Prof. Ann Evans Berthoff written on ffep, her underscoring and/or margin marks or notes, mostly in light pencil, on approximately 75 pages.

Edited, with an introduction, by Pearl Amelia McHaney. 8vo, beige cloth with silver gilt lettering on spine, maroon end papers, no visible shelf wear but front board bowed, in crisp, barely worn DJ with a couple of patches of very faint foxing to the interior. Small check mark observed in margin of one page, otherwise pages bright and clean.
