Poetry by Poet Laureate, Alfred Tennyson. Good condition. Cover is green leather over boards with gold gilt embellishments on front cover and spine. All page edges are also gold gilt. The corners and spine edges show some wear. Gray/Green end papers. Front cover is partially torn at spine, but is still very much attached. Front end paper has a 1 inch closed tear. 19 Black and white Tissue Guard Engravings by John La Farge , E. Vedder, W. Hennessy, and F.O.C. Darley. Inscription in ink at front: "Presented to Mip Del E. Cleyhom (?) December 25th 1865. A merry Christmas, and hhappy New Year. Your's as Even; D.S. Cleyhom. There is also a round stamp by E.E. Lewis Att'y at Law Sioux City, Iowa. I found it a bit odd - the copyright was 1864, the inscription is dated 1865, and the publisher name on the title page has 1866. Very Good- condition. maroon leatherette covers over heavy paper with gold and red gilt on the front and spine. There is some bumping and wear at the top edge and all corners. There is gold gilt on 3 page sides, but it is spotted in places and the spots did not come off when I wiped the closed book page edges. Page numbers 73/74 have a hard upper corner crease. Text is clean and binding is tight.

Illustrated. Complete in one volume. Good condition. Honey brown leather over boards. "Byron" in gold gilt in black block on spine, front is plain. Spine leather is loose on the back side, there are some splits on front side. Some edge and corner wear. Some soiling. Marbled page edges. Beautiful marbled end papers. Previous owners names on blank page in front. Illustrations and tissues appear to be intact, but there is much spotting on those pages and the pages near each illustration.
