Pamphlet. 34p., stapled wraps, 8.5x11 inches, profusely illus., wraps creased and toned, previous owner's name penciled on front wrap and front blank, else very good condition. The Armory Show featured works by Pablo Picasso, Paul Cézanne, Marcel Duchamp, Henri Matisse, and many others. It was the first large show of modern art to be held in the US, and was controversial among critics and the public.

Wilson had recently turned toward abstract expression in the early 1960s, and some of his paintings are used to illustrate the brochure.

New York: Deitch Projects, 1999. Paperback. [20p.], perfect bound exhibition catalog, 6x8.25 inches, very good. Illustrated profusely with Kahlhamer's art, including five fold-out pages. Kahlhamer was born in Tucson in 1956 to Native American parents but was adopted by a German American family shortly afterward, and raised in Wisconsin. He moved to New York City in the 1980s and worked as a touring Punk musician before turning to visual art.

Washington DC: Smithsonian Institution, 1996. Pamphlet. Six-panel exhibition catalog, 7.5x11 inches, very good. Includes interview with Kim and illustrated with reproductions of his paintings. Kim was born in La Jolla in 1961, and studied English Literature at Yale, before moving to Brooklyn. His most famous work, Synecdoche, was shown at the Whitney Biennial in 1993 and made comment on race and politics.

Soule, Edonna, Lee, Vernon, and Mars-1 (Mario Martinez) make up the Further Collective, a group founded in the Bay Area in 2009. The artists all share an interest in sci-fi abstract psychedelic painting.

Reproductions (black and white) of Richter's paintings from the 1910s and 1920s. The gallerist Arturo Schwarz was a major collector of Dada and Surrealist art.

Nata Piaskowski was a Polish-born, San Francisco-based photographer who studied at the California School of Fine Arts under Minor White.
