Juneau, Alaska: National Guard Officers' Wives, [196-]. Unpaginated cookbook, mimeographed pages, edgeworn wraps with a black plastic comb binding. Brief gift inscription on first page.

[Fairbanks AK]: Self-published by the author as dPress, 1972. Pamphlet. [12p] 5.25x7.25 inches, six cryptic poems facing six small silkscreened images of heterosexual nudes with musical instruments stapled wraps, a homemade job with blue plastic-tape spine; covers are somewhat handled and edgeworn, the color prints have offset onto their companioning poems, a good copy. A library discard insert identifies for us the place and date of publication, and indeed confirms the authorship which is not noted in the item; "D Press" was poet Denner himself, and he moved around. Denner was a member of the Berkeley Street Poets and an employee of Moe's Books at one time.

Juneau, AK: Self-published by the author, 2008. Pamphlet. 5.5x8.5 inch zine style wraps; in very good condition. Tribute to the sisters, fans & friends of Weezer, Carli and Mykel Allan who died in a car crash.

Berkeley: the Society, 1952. Paperback. Four issues of the 8.5x11 inch paperbound publication, mimeographed interior with printed covers. Very good. Includes articles on native Alaskan cultures, linguistics, etc.

Laid in find three standard leaves corner-stapled, a mimeo'd list of prices with holograph indicators of certain ones sold.

M/M Romance novel set in the 1890s Klondike gold mines and featuring what appears to be a love affair between a minor/miner and a Mounting Police - er Mounted (leave us not forget the Steampunk image of a Paddlewheel Riverboat Gondola on a dirigible!) Gay male romance by a cis-gender woman.

New York: Neptune Meter Company, 1954. Paperback. Variously paginated, a compilation aimed at inducing small Alaskan towns to save money by measuring water usage, thus correcting sloppiness, gross leaks, and fraud. Typewritten general text, typed and printed individual reports, supplemented with graphs & stats from all over the US. Clean sound standard leaves printed rectos only, bound utilitarian-fashion in a sturdy folder with spine and cover titling in bronze ink, a good copy. Dated from by-lines of compiled reports, all '54.

Girard, KS: Haldeman-Julius Publications, 1929. Pamphlet. 56, [8]p., wraps. 5 x 3.5 in. Very Good. Little Blue Book, 1757. Narratives of an Alaskan mine manager and speculator (as well as an impeached former governor of New York), reprinted from various journals.

Adak, Alaska: Intelligence Section, Field Headquarters, 1943. Pamphlet. [24p.], staplebound booklet, very good; "From Pfc. Eugene Fisher, Mar. 1944" penned inside front cover, faint corner crease to front cover, generally very good. Describes the campaign to prevent Japanese forces from gaining a foothold on the Alaskan island chain during WWII. "In honor and memory of the men of the North Pacific Theater who died so that a continent might be free.

[San Anselmo], 1988. viii, 184p., three mounted color photographs (pp.1, 22, 30), vignette b&w pix and line maps, a folded map bound in, text is printed large-point type on rectos only; hardbound in 11x8.5 inch black buckram boards. Boards yawn gift inscription by the author. "Fluting," as it turns out, is not a Good Thing in the tree biz; a normal treetrunk is a single bole, while a fluted trunk resembles many skinny trunks jammed together. Hard to get the bark off, for one thing.

New York: Barse & Hopkins, 1913. 126p., introduction, bookplate, otherwise very ngood first edition in red cloth, gilt and unclippedlightly-sunned and soiled dj. Dunham, Poet laureate of Alaska, was a Federal Bureau of Labor investigator who was sent to the gold fields and who fell in love with the territory and the men who worked the wilderness. His book of poetry was published partly as an appeal to the US for better representation.
