A directory of singers, musicians, and dramatic readers. With an autobiographical sketch by A.A. Van De Mark, founder of the Club; a rags-to-riches story; VanDeMark was born to a poor carpenter but became a successful concert promoter and talent manager. With portraits of Club members, textual profiles of some of them, and numerous ads, including one for the Roycroft Inn.

Honolulu, Hawaii: American-Japanese Investment Co, 1928. Ephemera. Ten certificates issued to various shareholders (all names Japanese), signed in pen by the company president and treasurer, with various stub remnants, tax stamps, and handwritten notes. All were issued in 1928. In 1943, due to the war the firm changed its name to simply "American Investment Company." It was still active until at least the year 2000.

Advertisement for a correspondence course in art for advertisements in magazines, publishing, and various businesses. Instructor Charles E. Dawson's work-including his advertisement poster and bookplate design-is displayed prominently. Dawson briefly corresponded with Eric Gill in 1917, when the latter submitted a sample illustration for the former to consider. Dawson promptly replied with the suggestion that Gill, who was by then already an accomplished artist, undertake coursework offered by the Practical Correspondence College. Blank application form inserted.

Undated desiderata list issued by McMurtry's bookstore for travelogues by women, 1798-1986 (none by "Anonymous" though a couple by "Lady, A"). The Archer City address suggests publication date in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Concludes with two sections: "And a few men" and "Male Travellers.".
