Oswego: Red Bear Press, 2007. Paperback. viii, 110p., paperback, 4.25x7 inches, very good. Only one copy found in OCLC as of July 2022. Cook was a conscientious objector to the Vietnam War and joined the New York Catholic Worker Community. In 1968, he was arrested for refusing the draft and sent to prison for two years, inspiring some of this writing. He passed away in 2020.

New York: Provisional Defense Committee, 1955. Staplebound. 8.5x11 inches; some minor toning, trifold letter with very slight edgewear, else in very good condition. Letter, printed on one side only, of the Provisional Defense Committee with the printed signatures of A.J. Muste and Dorothy Day. Letter sent to supporters by the defense committee for 29 pacifists who refused to take cover during "Operation Alert," which was a civil defense test in several cities. Bayard Rustin was secretary of the group and a defendant.
