"Bristow Rogers is the story of a talented, educated American Negro facing the problem of finding meaningful existence in a 'complex ' society" who seeks psychoanalytic help. The authors talk about 'marginal men' 'finding themselves.' Racism, apparently, has no place in the psychoanalytic lexicon.

Point Reyes, CA: Gordon Onslow-Ford, 1993. Staplebound. 19, [10] pp., illustrations, wraps. 11 x 8.5 in. Edition of 1,000. Printed by the Point Reyes Printing Company. A Very Good copy. Texts paired with paintings produced between 1946 and 1993. Onslow-Ford was a painter and active in the Paris-based surrealists pre-World War II, later moving to New York and eventually settling in Inverness, CA. He developed the concept of lucid art with Fariba Bogzaran, a scientist and artist interested in lucid dreaming, and co-founded the Lucid Art Foundation.

Hardbound in 10x7 inch green papered boards titled gilt. Corner-tips a little turned, the front free endsheet is clipped neatly (excising a name?), absolutely clean and sound, a very good copy. From abstruse snow effects, to excrement disposal. Find a substantial chapter on dreams: for instance the trek's captain had 106 dreams, some re his own reputation, some on money, women, eating, foreign countries where climate is severe, the walk itself.
