Some of the binding threads are a little loose but on the whole a sufficiently handleable copy to be termed "good

Profuse color plates (very clear photos), find a fullpage line map inside back cover, softback in stapled 9.5x7 photodecorated wraps. A little crimped with handling, unmarked and clean, a very good copy.

Berkeley: the League, [192-]. Pamphlet. Four-panel brochure with black and white photos of redwood forests. Notes the imminent danger of widespread deforestation by the lumber industry, calls on the reader to donate funds for the purchase and preservation of forest tracts. Undated, but notes that the state legislature had recently passed a $6 million State Park Bond issue. Cover shows a man dwarfed by redwoods at Bull Creek Flat. The League was originally a project of the California Women's Club Federation.

[San Anselmo], 1988. viii, 184p., three mounted color photographs (pp.1, 22, 30), vignette b&w pix and line maps, a folded map bound in, text is printed large-point type on rectos only; hardbound in 11x8.5 inch black buckram boards. Boards yawn gift inscription by the author. "Fluting," as it turns out, is not a Good Thing in the tree biz; a normal treetrunk is a single bole, while a fluted trunk resembles many skinny trunks jammed together. Hard to get the bark off, for one thing.
