Published in English as "Reflections on the political situation in India." Rai, a former lawyer who devoted himself to the struggle for Indian independence, stayed in the US from 1917 to 1920 and founded the Indian Home Rule League in New York City. In 1928 at a protest in Lahore he was badly beaten by police, dying soon after.

Second printing (same year as first) in fine bright condition: xv, 216p., bravura endsheets and cuts in monochrome, a nice production hardbound in 9x6 inch black cloth boards titled & paneled in orange and blind. As stated, very nice: sound, square, clean and unmarked.

Bombay: Asoka Mehta, 1937. Pamphlet. 16p. staplebound pamphlet, some corner creasing and minor soil. A response to attacks on the CSP by Communists and supporters of M.N. Roy. Argues that those groups had been too isolated from the independence movement on the ground, giving rise to tension and rivalry rather than fusion of their forces. Argues that Roy in particular has repudiated every ideal of the Left nationalists.

Washington DC: American Committee for Moroccan Independence, [195-]. Pamphlet. 94p. staplebound booklet, 4.25x6 inches, very good. Cites history and diplomatic treaties to argue for Moroccan independence.

Muenchen: Suchasnist, 1973. Paperback. 236p. paperback, some handling wear, small chip at top of spine. Text in Ukrainian, except for English title page ("Dynamics of liberation struggle"). The author was a Banderite turned "pro-democracy" exile activist.

New York: The Dodecanesian National Council, 1943. Pamphlet. 12p., softbound in pamphlet format, 9x6 inches, cover and half-title bear accession marks in pen & ink (uncredited, perhaps a private collection), somewhat dust-soiled and handled but sound (staple is shiny-new) and otherwise clean and unmarked. A good copy. The islanders at first welcomed Italian forces as liberators from Turkey, until Mussolini started to drive off native Greek inhabitants to convert the isles to a staging-ground.

Matched hardbound set, casebound in 10x7 inch naugahyde boards gilt. Encyclopaedia volumes are illustrated with scattered b&w vignettes, the index features another map, a new flag design in vivid color, and a couple facsimiles. Mildest flaws: a few dots of foxing to blanks, index binding yawns slightly because of fat folded map, a short errata notice is enclosed, the set is otherwise perfectly sound, clean and unmarked, heavy and satisfyingly thick (totaling 5.5 inches).
