Hardbound in red cloth boards lettered in black and enclosed in the dust jacket. Book itself has a light sprinkle of foxing to top edge, the dust jacket mild edgewear, other than these we see no flaws: completely sound, clean and unmarked.

Buffalo, NY: World's Dispensary Medical Association, 1927. Staplebound. 32 pp., illustrations, color printed wraps. 4 x 5.5 in. Oblong pamphlet. Surface scratched on rear cover. A booklet with a very abridged history of aviation, emphasizing the then-recent solo flight of Charles Lindbergh from New York to Paris and the emerging possibilities of aviation in both war and commerce. The majority of the booklet is in fact a series of advertisements and testimonials for various medical products produced by V.M. Pierce, such as the "Golden Medical Discovery," "Anuric Tablets," and "Pleasant Pellets." Also includes ads for a publication, Medical Adviser, and Dr. Pierce's Invalids Hotel and Surgical Institute. A blank form questionnaire (unused) and instructions for a free consultation are appended.

Larchmont, NY: [Edward S. Cornell, Jr.], 1942. Hardcover. [14], 214 pp., 1 plate, boards. 8 x 5 in. Title on cover above a design of stars and stripes patterned after the USA flag. A self-published treatise on good governance intended for the commoner (industrial or agrarian) of the early 1940s USA. The author, the heir of a family of manufacturers and factory-owners in New York, and a corporate executive, offers thoughts on how to "repair" government so that it returns to the principles outlined in the Constitution. The plan views national government and production, federal agencies (WPA, FHA), and employment for women as all threats to a constitutional republic, arguing instead for states' rights.

Paris, 1930. Paperback. A large folder, 12x9.5 inch plain printed wraps, containing variously paginated fascicles that are staplebound and are themselves fastened into the wraps with a decorative cord. Presswork on thick matte leaves (quite alkaline) features sepia gravure site photography of (mostly) modernist industrial buildings, plus bridges & roads & houses, all constructed with the company's product (tarpaper, poured layerings, road surfacing). Many diagrams also; these detail construction minutia. Captions and the brief running text entirely in French. Wraps somewhat edgeworn, a little toned and spotted, staples badly rusted while the cord remains sound and decorative. The photos are excellent, clearly reproduced and in clean condition. Laid in find loose leaves that further clarify builders' concerns. All in all, a very good exemplar.

London: Verso, 2000. Hardcover. viii, 181p., no illustrations beside the author portrait on dust jacket, hardbound first edition in grey papered boards with black cloth backstrip lettered in silverfoil. Faintest signs of handling, a very good clean copy.

Covers bear splotchy discolorations, front hinge opens strangely but is holding well enough, find a loopy ownership signature on front free endpaper (repeated at p.100), a peculiar but rather compelling treatment; does India still have forests? Some of the binding threads are a little loose but on the whole a sufficiently handleable copy to be termed "good

Sticker on leaf preceding title page with a slightly different title statement: Twelve light and motion sculptures by Janz, Jennings, Leonelli, KcKinnon, in editions of nine commissioned by the London Arts Group June 24th to July 18th 1970. Catalog of a group exhibition featuring large electronic light installations. With artists' statements on the programming and design of the different electronic art works.

The text describes the history and modern application of copper in buildings, industry, and transportation. Photographs of the elaborate dioramas and displays accompany the text. A list of participating companies is printed on the rear cover.
