Pamphlet. 2.75x6.25 inch leaflet shaped like banknote with printed filigree, small portrait of Nenslo next to the ostensible headquarters of Horizon Unlimited. Very good. Circa late 1980s or early 1990s. "Signifying herewith that the bearer of this document is fully sufficient and in requirement of no person, substance or object by which to fulfill Ultimate Destiny." Nenslo [ Ken DeVries] was associated with the Church of the SubGenius. A pair of tiny vignette images on the currency shows a tv "Before" and a tv "After", blurred reception versus clear reception.

Boston: Printed and Published by I.R. Butts, 1849. Paperback. Illustrated with a few tables, 108p., 7.5x4.5 inch self-wraps with exposed thread, thread and stab-holes original and soundly preserved. Original outer wrap [front and back covers united by spine panel] is also preserved but has been altered for strength, with thick old kraft paper adhered and trimmed to fit its outermost side, and inner text (publisher's menu) open to view and enclosing the textblock. The kraft side is titled by hand in old sepia nib, and it is dust-soiled and foxed, while the "menu" side is even dirtier. As is, texts complete, a reference copy. Trader's & Mechanic's laws of trade.

Huntington Park, CA: Free Economy Association, 1953. Pamphlet. 31p. staplebound pamphlet, very good. The author was a follower of Silvio Gesell (1862-1930), who advocated the common ownership of land and a monetary system based on the regular depreciation of the face value of currency, in order to stimulate its circulation. Here, Schubert outlines what he claims are successful historical instances of this strategy.

Generally very good, though there is often uneven toning to the first and last issues of each year, as these were stored in groups by volume number.
