Description:
[Brooklyn]: People's Songs, 1948. Audio 45rpm. Two 6.5 inch recordings on laminated illustrated cardboard released by People's Songs, unknown if they are still playable, in plain white original sleeve. Four songs released in conjunction with Henry Wallace's campaign in 1948 (Great Day is illustrated with two photos of Wallace) sung by Michael Loring, Paul Robeson and the Yankee Doodle Chorus. Especially entertaining and still relevant is the song The Same Old Merry Go Round with lyrics (written around the edge of the record) "The Donkey is Tired and Thin, The Elephant Thinks He'll Move In, they all yell and fuss, but they ain't foolin' us, 'cause they're brothers right under the skin!

Description:
Los Angeles: Privately Printed at the Pueblo Press [for editor-authors], 1939. Hardcover. 18p., b&w illustrations and facsimiles, rear pocket with zoetrope wheel; text printed on calendared paperstock with edges left untrimmed, hardbound issue, 10.5x8 inches; has a lovely coarse-linen spine over matte-black boards with printed face label. Copy no.145 of 250 only. Cloth-backing is mildly toned from handling; preliminary leaves and terminal leaf bear a small faint damp-stain while leaves between are free of it; pastedown has a private bookplate (a very nice one), the ffep and next blank both are inscribed by Charles Clarke to art director Leland Fuller: a rather formal presentation on ffep, and a warm personal one on the blank. A very good copy. Inscribee Fuller (1899-1962) was Hollywood art director, worked on numerous films from 1943 til his death including Viva Zapata!, was oscar-nominated for that and five others.

Description:
San Francisco: Self-published by the author, 2006. CD_rom w/ pamphlet. 40p., a tiny zine with a tiny CD tucked into a nice black envelope inside rear cover. Slight wrinkles here & there, a touch of dust-soil and smudge to covers, a very good copy. Author Scott identifies as a punk rock type but the music (unheard by us) to judge by titles listed is at least partly traditional. The photos are mostly pedestrian views local to the Bay Area. Furthermore (now we're quoting Scott): "INFO: STALOWA-WOLA (pronounced Sta-lova Vo-la) is: A.M. Scott & Stephen Barkley. These songs were recorded in the winter of 2005 in the living room of a San Francisco tenement. Stalowa Wola is a town in south eastern Poland. Andrew lives in San Francisco and Stephen lives in England. However, there was a time in which both lived in Krakow.
