Pamphlet. 11x17 inch poster folded to an 8.5x11 inch brochure with information about the Conference on one side and registration form and mailing addresses on the other and the poster inside. Joy Harjo was the Keynote Speaker at the November 1990 Conference held at University of New Mexico.

Washington: GPO, 1967. Paperback. xi, 407p., green Senate wraps. Fading and edgewear to covers, bumping and dog-ears to text. We see a couple of marginal check-marks, else clean and unmarked. A reminder, Part One only; the second part (which we have seen) ran to 273p. - This set of hearings focused on Spanish and Spanish-speaking populations. Hearings were set to reconvene in California in June of that year.

Single 16.5x8,.5 inch sheet handbill folded twice to make 6 panels, illustrated on one side with a b&w photo of Nogales Border Crossing c. 1890 with red, black and gray texts and designs and on the rear biographical sketches of the 4 educators involved, very good condition. This is a handbill/mailer advertising 4 lectures by authors/educators on the border country between the US and Mexico held between February 26 and May 6 on Wednesdays at the Kiva Auditorium at UofA.

Kansas City, MO: Fred Harvey, 1904. Pamphlet. Third edition, dated from the sole dated photo. Glazed alkaline paperstock throughout, oversize pamphlet in oblong 10.5x13 inch greygreen wraps titled in dark green and fastened with both saddle-stitched staples and a decorative purple cord. The huge centerfold of the Grand Canyon reveals that staples and cord are in place and holding well. There is a bump to the head affecting both covers and entire text, about two inches in extent at front cover joint, much less noticible further along, but a good copy (even the cord is undamaged, and cords are often the first to go). Find a number of portraits that seem to demonstrate friendly acquaintance between the Hopi and our camera-bug. OCLC gives a date of 1904 for the second edition and 1905 for the fourth edition. Fred Harvey was the founder of a chain of restaurants and hotels catering to railroad passengers throughout the Southwest and a promoter of tourism to the area.

Slightest edgewear and sunning to covers, entirely sound, clean and unmarked within. Originally designed by Merle Armitage and published by Pinon in 1961. The 1973 reprint was re-designed by Douglas J. Houston who provided item with a b&w photographic cover and an index, and who dropped the Armitage foreword.

Berkeley: University of California Press, 1985. Paperback. xiii, 247 pages, very good paperback. Analyzes the agricultural economy in the U.S. Southwest and the condition of agricultural workers, especially non-citizens and women.
