This is a volume of his poetry and a selection of his work written over a period of fifteen years. He was Mexican Ambassador to India in 1968 and was asked to send a poem to the cultural committee of the olympic games just after a student demonstration in Mexico city had beenbroken up by the police and many students were killed. Its likely that 4 million of her books were published between 1870 and 1910. She was so well known that those who knew her then would be shocked at her now obscurity. She was also a musician. Green Boards on this little book with beautifully illustrated cover. Some bumping to the corners and shelf wear.The pages are card and each hymn has ab illustration. The pages are very clean and the binding is tight. The inside front and back covers are grey floral. There is no date, but this work was published in !886 and being published by E P Dutton would perhaps put it around this period. A very lovely little hymn book. AB82

This is a really pretty book in a slip cover. Boards are cream with brown star pattern and brown spine. Slip cover is also the same star design. Warwickshire: Drinkwater, 1984. Paperback. Very Good. On december 7th 1807, john corbets foxhounds met at Epwell and there was a remarkable run ending in Heythrop park after a point of 23 miles.One of the followers wa Edward Goulburn, later a distinguised barrister. He wrote a lighthearted account of the run with thumbnail sketches of his fellow riders and had it printed anonymously. Someone took exception and the poem was withdrawn, but the verses continued to circulate and were later printed often being recited after dinners of the hunting fraternity.
