London : Sidgwick & Jackson, 1917. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition first printing. Hardback book is tight clean and square. Boards sharp and clean. Sharp spine ends, title labels to upper board and spine perfect. Text block clean, with toning to edges. Top edge also dusty with pencil marks. The pages are mostly very crisp and unblemished, a few scattered spots, and pages 81-88 have six puncture marks, which look contemporary, probably a binding error but I cannot be sure. Feels lightly read. Very good condition. Jacket is very nice (especially considering it's age), toned and marked spine, small rubs to corners. Jacket grades near fine. For grading accuracy books are photographed without a protective book cover. This book is fitted with a non adhesive archival quality book protector to make a worthy addition to your collection.
