Text has owner's name, little sign of wear, boards a bit warped. Dj is price-clipped, lightly edge-worn, one closed tear to foldover. A lovely copy of this classic Aikido book by the son of the master Morihei Uyeshiba.

A reading copy only, in Poor condition. The book is complete in the original cover, however the binding has come unglued so that the covers are separated from the text block. Some of the pages are loose, but they are all there. Rare and important aikido book.

This copy shows copyright dates of 1930 and 1931, however we have never seen a copy published in 1930. 108 pp. + 5 pp. ads, index, 155 illustrations (mostly photos, some line drawings), small softcover format, about 5.75" X 3.5", in stiff black card covers. The serial number 16062 is stamped inside the front cover. This copy is internally Fine with no tears, soiling or owners' marks. The covers are very fresh, with light wear to the spine ends and some minor creasing. A very attractive copy.

Centre leaf loose, otherwise we would classify this as Nearly Fine due to the exceptionally nice condition of the fragile covers. Interesting and scarce book.

Nearly a Fine copy with no wear, no serious flaws, appears unread. Couple of tiny ink spots to fore-edge of text-block, perhaps from Mr. Jorgensen's pen when he inscribed the book "9/2/49 with best regard to W. W. Wyatt from S. J. Jorgensen". Uncommon, practical self-defense manual written for police use, e.g. disarming gun, knife, club attacks, etc. Scarce in this condition and especially inscribed. An especially desirable collector's copy.

N. Y.: Marshall Stillman Association, 1919. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. First printing. 94 pp., 102 photo illustrations demonstrating techniques, octavo, loose-leaf text with two-hole punch, bound in dark green cloth covers with two snap-rings. Book is complete and original with both snap-rings present and functional, though a bit stiff. Some of the punch-holes are torn, but the text is quite fresh and bright. Chapters include: Five Sub-Conscious Lessons in Boxing, Eight bone-breaking holds and releases, Jiu Jitsu and Eight holds in standing wrestling. Laid in: original 4 page (8 X 10 inch) promo material that was included with the original book when sent "on approval". Also, the original bill from Marshall Stillman to the original owner of the book, dated 1920, in the original envelope self-addressed to Marshall Stillman Association New York.
