New Haven, CT: Hopkins and Seymore, 1806. Very good condition hardcover set - 3 volumes have leather covers and one volume has paper covered boards. All volumes are ex library books having been removed from a theological seminary. All volumes seem to be in their original binding but all volumes have heavy duty green library spine tape on the spines. All the volumes have the usual library stamps, notation , etc, but do not have card pouches. These were reference books. The bindings are firm, the corners are lightly worn. The book pages are slightly age toned, but the books were printed on good paper. This publication only had 4 volumes and this set contains all four volumes..The set contains - Volume 1 undated 480 pages plus an index, volume 2 undated 481 pages plus an index, volume 3 dated 1810 704 pages plus an index, volume 4 693 pages plus an index. This is a well preserved very scarce set of books. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

The main title is also bound with "A second address from the Trustees of the Missionary Society of Connecticut to the people of the state and a narrative on the subject of missions" which appears at the end of the book following the index. The covers are clean and the pages are moderately foxed, but still very readable. . The book has 480 numbered pages followed by a conclusion and an index. pages plus an index. London: John Stockdale , 1788. Contemporaty leather with gold gilt ruling on the front and rear covers . Red spine labels with gold gilt lettering. The book is in very good condition. The corners are lightly bumped. It appears the book had the end sheets replaced at some time as they are much brighter than the rest of the book - even so, there was a written notation concerning replacing the end sheets (which I gently erased). The book pages are lightly browned with age, but there is very little foxing. There also appears to be very light dampstaining to the top inch or so of the last half of the book, but it is light. The book is very well preserved. The book has an engraved frontispiece. 292 pages followed by ads for other books from the publisher. This is the "new edition" . . HardCover. London: J and R Tonson , 1758. Very good condition matched 2 volume set. Rebound in cloth covered boards with leather spine,5 raised bands and embossed leather labels with gold gilt. The books are tighly bound and square. The corners are sharp, the covers are clean. Volume 1 has a recent bookplate inside the front cover and older bookplate on the front end sheet. There is a name written in cursive at the top of the title page both volumes. There is a notation inside the cover of the first volume stating that volume 2 is lacking plate 8 it is followed by a question mark. I counted 7 plates in the 2 volumes and can see no evidence of a plate being removed. . The body of both of the books appear to be notation free with the exception listed. The book pages are age toned with light to moderate foxing. Please note the listed , albeit minor, defects listed. Priced reasonably given the printing and the minor defects. . Hard Cover. All of the maps are in very good condition. Not an ex library book or a remainder. The book is tighly bound and square. The covers fairly clean. The cornersare fairly sharp. The book appears to have new end sheets. The text block is lightly age toned. The book has a frontis picture of John Sharpless which is protected by a tissue guard. The book has 1333 pages. This is a very heavy book and will require extra post. All the page edges are gold gilt. This is a hard to find book. I could not locate another copy for sale online. . First Edition. Hard Cover. This book has been rebound in a black buckram with a heavy duty library binding with reinforced hinges. Not an ex library book. The book is tightly bound and square. The book has new end sheets. A very collectible book even though it has been rebound. This is a very limited edition printing. These books are in fine condition.The books are tightly bound and square. The corners are sharp (one exception is listed) , the book pages are bright, crisp, clean, notation and defect free. None of the books have bookplates. They were part of a collection which included many books from the turn of the 20th century which were still in the publisher's packing crates. This is a stunningly beautiful set of books. Halliday and this volume was pubished the the Shakespeare Association being their fascimile number 5. It is dated 1931. The introduction is 22 pages and the fascimile reproduction is approximately 32 pages. This is the edition that is referenced in the Schwerdt Catalogue listings. The book is tightly bound and square. The book pages are lightly age toned. The covers are clean ,but the leather is worn along the front edges of the book. This book has Andrew Lang's name printed as one of the members. The book has a bookplate inside the front cover of one Sir Robert Uniacke-Penrose - Fitzgerald. Sir Robert was the 1st baronet of Corkbeg and Lisquinian and was a British conservative politician. He was born 10 July 1839 and died 10 July 1919. Laid inside the rear cover (not attached) is a document which seems to be instructions for rebinding the book , but the book does not appear to have ever been rebound.
