James Clarke 1894 Circa softback - like heavy cardboard, but not hardback. attractive red boards with raised white titling and artwork. however, it is showing its age - all corners and edges are rubbed with some chipping and loss, and some creasing. rear board white panelling is grubby and tarnished. internally the ffeps are heavily browned but the text itself is not - but the paper is dark cream . no inscriptions, but there are the odd pencil lines and marks in the text - nothing too unsightly. collectable period piece for a catering library - try the "salmis of blackcock"
