Contemporary full polished blue calf prize binding by Crossley & Clarke, Harrow, with extensive gilt decoration to the spine, red spine label, gilt tooling to leather edges. All edges marbled to match end papers. Binding very good with a little rubbing to edges and joints. Contents clean and tight, Harrow School prize plate to Roberto Cobb dated 1854 and signed by the author B H Drury to the front paste-down, otherwise no inscriptions, paper clean and bright without foxing. An interesting copy that would make a fine gift. Provenance [B.H. Drury 1812- 1963 was a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, educator, he was later ordained; his father was Henry Joseph Thomas Drury (1778 -1841 tutor to Lord Byron and Headmaster of Harrow School ].
