Description:
Signed by author & illustrator; limited edition, no. 173/525. Very Good HC in Very Good slipcase. Bound in vellum over boards, gilt letters; top edge gilt; untrimmed fore & tail edges; ribbon marker bound in. Clean covers & spine; slight semi-circle darkening/soiling on covers at joints where exposed by slipcase cut away; vellum turn-ins along tail edge appear lightly grazed by silverfish; tightly bound; crisp, clean interior; very slight foxing on end papers. Slipcase is complete in tan, lightly whorled paper with paper label on back, fine rules enclosing 'Peronnik | The Fool | [decoration] | George | Moore | No. 143'. Note that the slipcase number (143) differs from volume number (173). Slipcase is Very Good with light scuffing; slight age darkening along edges. Illustrated with engravings. 8vo, 77 pp.
