(18pp). Illustrated, photographs, pictorial wraps, faded around margins Lanier arrived in San Antonio in 1872 in search of a cure for tuberculosis. He stayed on without a cure, digging into the Spanish archives, joining the local historians and listening to the stories of the people he met.
