Small, 3 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches, half leather binding, which appear contemporary with the date of publication. Visible light edge wear and scuffing to the binding; red spine label with gilt title still bright. Well bound, both covers firmly attached. Former ownership names, dates, etc. on the front flyleaf. About 90 pages have active pencil notation/translation of words throughout, and it is interesting to note, that these pages tend to be the ones that are discolored (age), balance of text generally bright (clean); one page has 1 inch tear at the fore-edge. New York and London: Harper & Brothers Publishers (Printed by Billings and Sons, Gildford), October, 1902. First English language edition. Hardcover. Very Good Plus. Gray cloth binding with green and dark red mosaic decorated cover and spine, bright an clean with no sunning to spine. Light wear, well bound copy, covers firmly attached. Interior clean and unmarked. Above average copy. 317 pages, plus 2 pages of advertisements for other Serao titles. No translator name given. Questions welcome. Images can be made upon request.

Boston: W. B. Clarke, Nd. Ca 1880. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good. The Oxblood dyed canvas cover (flexible, paper lined) over stab sew wraps. Cloth has much discoloration from contact with moisture; however no signs of mildew or discoloration except for fading. Affects mostly edges of front cover, more so to the back cover, with none of the pages affected. The title on the cover reads Concord/Centennial Discourse/Ralph Waldo Emerson, in still bright unaffected gilt. Well bound with pale yellow end pages, plain white printers' added page, then title page. Pagination begins with the title page, with 48 altogether. Small dent to front free end page, light wear to corner, upper edge. Pages are clean and unmarked. I can supply images, or answer any questions, gladly.

Halifax: William Milner, 1849. First or early printing. Hardcover. Good Plus. New Binding. Thin card cover with paper covering; attractive cover label of title w/border made from a computer. Also printed end pages, marbled design. A.e.g. Front end page still present-- penciled name/date/doodling on verso, damp stained. Title page has some damp stains, but is limited. No frontispiece if issued; small woodcut illustrations throughout the text. The text is unmarked with some foxing/discoloration, but very little. Edge of book are gilt, done by a previous binder. London: Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown and Green (and John Taylor), 1830. First edition. Hardcover. Good or better. Thin brown cloth over boards, with paper label on spine, legible. Hairline cloth separation on front exterior joint covering, relatively minor and not loose. Light edge wear and more so to extremities, aged looking cloth, fading, etc... but clean. Well bound with both covers firmly attached. No former ownership marks, book is totally unmarked. Generally the paper is bright with some age toning. Most leaves are still uncut. I count 20 plates with 224 separate engravings, plus extra title page with another illustration with cherubs. Most plates has some degree of aging, foxing and fore-edge damp stained, 1/8 to 1/2 inch (none of the text leaves are affected as such). 342 pages, including an Index. Note: book is preceded by two leaves, laid in, cut on smaller sized paper, for books by Larner's Cabinet Cyclopaedia, already published, or in preparation. .

Introduction by Stephen H. Tyng. Condition specifics: Lightly worn beveled edges. Head and tail of spine lightly rubbed with tiny tears (1/8 inch). Visible but limited shelf wear. Spine lightly faded. Inner hinges firm. Book is clean and tight. Penciled former ownership name. Light and limited foxing, and otherwise pleasingly clean, bright and unmarked pages. Wear to all edges, generally light but more so to spine edges; gilt stamping on spine rubbed. Well bound, both covers firmly attached. Last page has name in pen mark, with corner chipped. Otherwise unmarked with scattered foxing throughout. There is no proper title page, and the book precedes with the Scottish Glossary with date entered copyright page for this portion of the book (it appears this was issued in volume 2), then follows an Advertisement [Xiv] +321 pages

Cambridge: Typis Academicis. Impensis Edm. Jeffrey, 1710. Hardcover. Poor. Contemporary full leather, tooled design to both covers. Binding split in two parts. Five raised bands, dark red label with a legible title. Rubbing to extremities, some scuffing, limited. Both overs have been reattached by an amateur. Former owner' s name, other notations. Interior text has a few margin notes, foxing varying throughout. clviii,(10), 302 pages, plus 2 page advertisements. Text of the Sacerdotio bilingual Greek/Latin. Questions welcome. Well bound, front fly partially torn away, partial damp staining to portion of text. Frontispiece and title page discolored with apparent tear now mended. Light age toning, text is quite readable, and complete. 72 pages. Rare, no OCLC listings, no reprints, no print on demand copies. Scans of book available.

London: Thomas Tegg, 1832. First printing. Hardcover. Good Plus. One-half leather binding, corners rubbed to the board, heaD of spine chipped, black leather label partially chipped Heel of spine has three small paper dots, for some sort of reference although the interior is unmarked except for a penciled number on the title page. Leaves are pleasingly bright, which make the 114 engraved illustrations that much more attractive and interesting.
