Phildelphia: Griffith & Simon, 1841. 2nd Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 63pp. Brown publisher's cloth, gilt lettering. Light wear to cover, 1/4 inch chip at head of spine, dampstaining and foxing appearing most heavily to first and last few pages, binding is tight light pencil notations on endpapers. A previous owner drew a detailed, and comical pencil drawing of an orator standing at a lectern giving a speech. The type in this book is very small, and the compiler explains that "larger type would greatly increase the size and price" of the book! Information in the book includes agriculture health, temperance, U.S. Constitution, phrenology, religion, cookery and more.

Cover worn and chipped, scattered staining and light foxing to contents, pages 15-24 missing, several first few pages have been gnawed at lower gutter and chipped along edges with some loss of text, title page and remainder of text quite sound and complete, former owner's name and date (December 2, 1811) on front and rear endpapers.

American Directory and Publlishing Co., 1894. Hardcover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 212pp. Heavy card stock plain boards, stapled binding. Boards and several pages of ads are soiled, chipped and detached but present, spine perished, endpapers lacking, text block is evenly tanned but is otherwise unworn and is complete, map not present. Includes a business directory, street and avenue directory, government listings, organizations and a business directory of Ansonia, Derby, Shelton, Seymour, MIlford, Stratford, Fairfield, Long Hill, Newtown and Southport. There are numerous ads, (some illustrated), plus other relevant and interesting information about Bridgeport and its environs.

Inscription on front endpaper reads "Justin Winsor, Esq. With the Editor's kind regards. May 19,1866." An interesting association copy. Winsor was a historian and librarian, and was the founder of the American Library Association, and became its first president. Front board detached but present, spine lacking 2 inch piece from top, water staining to rear board and to margins of text, contents age-toned. Personal stamp of Justin Winsor, Cambridge, Mass. on title page.

Spine missing, both boards missing, moderate overall soiling, text is age-toned and lightly foxed but complete and unmarked. This volume actually includes 15 years of the reports, from the years 1850 to 1864 inclusive. Tipped inside the front board is an inscription signed Wm Goodwin, a photo of the author and the bookplate of B. Pomeroy. Tipped in to the rear cover is a copy of the words to the song "The Flag of the Union Forever" written by Goodwin. An unusual association copy.

Light wear to edges and spine ends, front free endpaper is soiled, has a tear and is missing a 1 1/2 inch strip along edge, text is mildly age-toned and clean. Front pastedown endpaper has an intricately detailed engraving of the "New York and Brooklyn Suspension Bridge" (now known as the Brooklyn Bridge.
