Rubbing to spine with some loss to leather at tail, but gilt title generally bright. 5 raised bands. Internally fine, fontis engraving of Trenck in chains, contemporary notes to rear free endpaper. Second edition augmented. His memoirs were translated into most European languages and were a sensation - women wore dresses in Paris a la Trenck.
