Paris: Gissey, Bordelet, Ganeau, 1739. First Edition. Hardcover (Full Leather). Good Condition. Contemporary leather, spine worn, surface damage to boards. A collection of works, separately paginated but only the first and second to last with separate title pages, the others with half titles - the latter dated 1690 and published a Francheville. Clean internally, old author names penned to titles, trimmed a touch close on the first title and half title. 157 (3)pp; 46pp; 8pp; 48pp; 34pp. This was Bougeant's most famous work for which he was accused of heresy (claiming that demons inhabited animals) and imprisoned.
