Undated, but likely from the twenties and probably from a department store or other retailer; a colorful (apparently tempera) picture of a boy and a girl in front of a Christmas tree, with a Santa Claus, a doll, sailboat, biplane, toy soldiers, a cannon and more. An exceptionally attractive, nostalgic, and perhaps even innocent representation; framed in metal and glazed.

Printed in gold, black and green; twenty varieties of Havana cigars are reproduced in “actual size.” Framed and glazed, approximately 20 1/2 x 30 1/2.” The poster is in excellent condition; the black and gilt inset frame is chipped. A legend at the bottom notes that this was printed in Cuba, dating the poster pre-embargo.

Auburn, Maine: W.A. Alden, n.d. [apparently mid to late 19th century]. Measuring approximately 8 1/2 x 7,” paper, in red and black calligraphy, “The Androscoggin 10 Cent and Auburn Boy 5 cent Cigars! have pushed themselves to the front on their merits alone. Sold everywhere. W.A. Alden, Manufacturers. No. 10 Court Street, Auburn, Me.” A bit browned; minor wear.

Undated, likely 1920s. About 11 x 14,” both in excellent condition with folding cardboard stands on the back and with both original envelopes. These colorful depictions of the beverage, next to a top hat, cane and white gloves, stress its elegance, proclaiming it as “Comparable to Champagne.” The placards, while similar, are different images.

Philadelphia: The Weiller Co., n.d. Approximately (and variably) 10 x 34.” A young man and woman, seated on stools, enjoy fountain treats. Undated, but likely forties or fifties; some wear and minor damage; just good.
