London and Philadelphia: Meyer Von Bremen Art Club Studio/ Sunshine Publishing Company, n.d. (late 1880s?). First American Edition of this deluxe, clearly expensive production, most of the plates are chromolithographs. The American issue actually features 35 plates and four pages of advertisements. Folio, publisher’s cloth; only slight wear; about fine. The title page proclaims this as the only edition in existence, which appears to be a truthful boast.

Paris: Editions du Soleil, 1959. First Edition. Very good in a chipped dust jacket. Presentation copy; inscribed by the author with a humorous drawing to the recently deceased musician and author George Melly, who lectured on this subject.

Berlin: Ausstellunghaus Am Kurfurstendamm, 1906. First Edition of this exhibition catalogue of an art movement, not so well-known as the Vienna Secession. Publisher’s printed boards with a cloth spine; some light pencil notes; ink title on the spine; a good copy. Illustrated with reproductions of paintings and sculptures, some of which were French.

New York: Viking/ Studio, 1970. First Edition; American issue. Very good in the original printed clear plastic jacket, which is chipped.

Paris: Alain A.C. Mazo, 1972. First Edition; one of 800 numbered copies (this is number 800) printed on Arches paper. As issued in unbound sheets in a printed paper wrapper; in a folding cloth box; only very minor wear and browning to the wrapper and the box; a fine set. The French text accompanies the original lithographs, most of them in color, by Chagall, Matisse, Vasarely, Picasso, etc.

New York: Pierre Matisse Gallery, 1957. First Edition. Wrapppers. Aside from black and white printed pictures, bound in are four color transparency strips, 32 frames in total. Very good.
