Charming line drawings illustrate the story of Chikka, an eleven-year-old boy from a village near Bangalore, and his adventures when he runs away to the big city. The author is an Indian woman who studied in the US and at the time of publication worked for the Government of India Tourist Office. She based the character of Chikka on a boy she knew as a child in India. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
