Card covers with tissue overlay, xxiv, (2), 265, (1) + 426, (2)p. Some wear and light soil to the tissue overlay, with two short tears to the tissue at the head of volume I, some edgwear at spine ends. Internally fine and unopened, with no chips, tears, foxing, markings or names other than the author's inscription. An exceptional copy.. Inscribed by The Author. First, Limited Edition. Soft Cover. The books are in very good condition with good hinges, firm text blocks, very light dust speckling to the top edges of the text blocks, very clean pages with the name of Yale Classics scholar Joseph Solodow neatly written at the far top edges of the front free endpaper of volumes I and II, no other markings. The mylar protected dustjackets are also very good with some subtle uneven fading, no chips or tears. Volume I contains the Greek text on left hand pages and the English translation opposite, preceded by the Progelomena. Volume II and III contain commentary, appendixes and indexes.. Hard Cover.
