Description:
This book is in good condition. There is significant wear on the front, back, spine and edges of the cover boards. The corners are also bumped. The gilding on the spine is rubbed and faded. The previous owners name is written on the inside of the front cover board and his seal is stamped on the first end page and the first title page. The pages are yellowed and tanned. There are some markings on the pages, but it still is definitely a good read. "This volume gathers together a number of articles written and papers read at various times on the transmission of the Bible. It is intended for non-specialists like those who have read them or heard them in their earlier forms, and who have frequently expressed a desire to have them in this form...." - Preface from The Books And The Parchments: Some Chapters On The Transmission Of The Bible
