Comic political novel. Very good in very good unclipped dustwrapper.

Variety programme for four weeks commencing April 14th, including turns from Elsie and Doris Waters as "Gert & Daisy" and Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy. Illustrated cover features a lively scene of musicians, Can-Can girls etc with the title 'Variety: Full of Life & Laughter!'. Back cover features pictorial T.C.P. advertisement. No date printed but inscribed date to top of programme reads '1948'.

A list of towns and their statistics is reaslly an excuse to advertise the benefits and case studies of Doan's Backache Kidney Pills, Dinner Pills and Ointment. Fascinating piece of ephemera and social history. Pages tanned, covers scuffed at spine and corners with small piece of top corner missing. A few closed tears along edge of both cover and pages but legibility not compromised. Tight and complete. Size: 7.5 x 5 Inches

Some loss to cloth binding at head and base of spine. Boards slightly bumped and rubbed at corners, slightly darkened at edges, with occasional small marks; cloth of spine slightly faded. Front hinge cracked, contents slightly browned. 2pp publisher's list after contents page. A good copy.
