Gorgeous Ashman colour illustrations throughout. A lovely edition of this Alice classic. Cover has light soiling, few light ink markings, a little rubbing to title area. Pages have a rew earmarks and quite a few soiled pages, especially in first half of book. One page has a long taped tear and a bit of text is missing from the middle. Pages are otherwise intact. B/w illustrations. An authentic first-hand account of a journey to Mars in the space-ship Albatross, compiled from notes and records by various members of the expedition, and now assembled and edited for publication. Classic b/w illustrations. Pages are clean and intact, with no markings, light age tanning. Cover has moderate edge and corner wear, scuffing, light scratches, corner bumping, light soiling (a bit moreso to rear) . Mr. Mocker is a mockingbird with a fine singing voice who makes all the animal folks happy with his performances. (160os,0415) ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall .

Ex-library book, but still in great condition - mylar cover and usual ex-lib type of markings, rear pocket, blue ink dot on top edge. Clean and tight pages, only light wear overall. Numerous b/w illustrations. 9 1/2" tall. Originally published 1931, reset and reissued 1966. ; 8vo; "Tells of Marquerite, a young French orphan, who is 'bound out' for six years in exchange for food, shelter, and clothing to the Sargent family, settlers in the New World. Grosset & Dunlap. Good in Good dust jacket. 1946. Hardcover. May be a first or early printing as front flap has only plot summary & no list of titles; back flap has plot summary for The Vicki Barr series & several titles from that series.. DJ has light edgewear and a few small chips. It does have some substantial water marking which is most noticeable on the back of DJ, inside of DJ and on the front flap and back corner. It can be noticed a little on jacket front, and top edge is slightly wrinkled. HC in reddish-brown tweed has light edge & cornerwear, very light watermarks on front (you have to look for them) otherwise cover very clean, light soiling outer edge of pages. Interior clean & tight. First endpage to title page are slightly wrinkled. After the end of World War II, Cherry returned home to Hilton, Illinois, and then began to work at a hospital for wounded veterans. She helped solve the problems of her new friends the Demerests and their son Toby. (380noto) ; 8vo .

DJ has considerable edgewear and several tears/chips, watermarking/staining to rear and both flaps. Front flap shows 13 Cherry Ames titles up to Clinic Nurse and back cover shows 7 Vicki Barr titles.
