Very Good. 1839-1847. Hardcover. A slim volume, bound in paper-over-boards, with leather corners & spine. Includes 26 maps. Several are 2 page spreads. 5 of the maps have been trimmed and tipped onto blank pages. Most are very good to near fine. One map is loose. It is from Mitchell's, dated 1839. Rubbed at the edges (stops just at the border) , with a 2" separation at the bottom fold. Most are multicolor. Also, most are of the U. S. , although several cover the rest of the world. Certainly appears this was made for some early home-schooling. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall .

Paris. Near Fine. 1744-1799. First Edition. Loose sheets. Four maps from the set of 182 done for the survey of France, dating 1744 to 1799. These are mounted on cloth, and are in the remnants of the original leather case. Price is for all 4 maps. Each is folded to 6x8". ; 36x24"; 4 pages .

Chicago: A. J. Nystrom & Co.. Near Fine. 1934. First Edition. Softcover. Owner's name neatly at the top of the front cover, faint age-spotting to the covers. We have all seen the old roll-up school maps. How often do you see the booklet which was to accompany them? ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 71 pages .

London: George W. Bacon. Good+. (1881). First Edition. Hardcover. A large, heavy book, in the original leather (which is very rubbed at the edges). Title page has been laid onto new paper, and the hinges have been reinforced with tape. Each map is a two-page spread, giving excellent details of all the streets. Bound in front is a large folded map, mounted on linen. No date, but 1886 is written at the bottom of the title page, and another page indicates the data if from 1881. ; Ex-Library; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 73+ pages .

London: S. Crowder. Good. 1764, 1765. Hardcover. The full-calf bindings are poor. Hinges broken, front cover of vol. 2 is coming loose. The contents are very good. Volume one contains 9 maps and 9 plates; volume 2 contains 18 maps and no plates. The set contains one map not called for, a map of Persia. ; Ex-Library; Folio 13" - 23" tall .

Printed in three colors. Scale of app. 5 miles to the inch. Top 1/4 of the rear card is missing, not affecting the map. ; 35x48"; 1 pages .

However, includes 6 large folding sectional maps in very good or better condition, and a small fragment of another. The maps are about 3'x2', and include the locations of many businesses. Price is as-is. ; Ex-Library; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

Chicago: RAND, McNally & Co.. Fair with no dust jacket. 1895. Hardcover. The contents are very good, but the binding is very rough. Bound in three-quarter leather, ~1" chips at the spine ends, soil ed covers, and rubbed at the corners. The text block is coming loose of the covers. I didn't cound every single page, but could not find any missing text or map (and there are many, many maps). Very much as-is. ; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 345 pages .

The first is split along several of the folds, but with no loss of material. The second is very good + to fine. The third (and largest) is "fine".
