Warrington, Pearse, 1881, pp. 272. Large paper copy, number six of only eight copies printed on hand-made paper, signed by the publisher. Bookplate of W. Harry Rylands. original quarter leather. Unfotunately the front cover has suffered some rather odd damage as if a heavy weight has dropped on it leaving it slightly bent and with a groove running vertically up it. Still tight and sound. Manchester,1899, 4to, first edition, pp.xix,350, erratum leaf and tipped in errata slip, profusely illustrated. A large paper copy in the original half vellum over cloth boards. Vellum with the usual discoloration, front board lightly spotted, previous owner's name and stamp on front endpaper. The title continues Historical Reminiscences of Denton, Haughton, Dukinfield, Mottram, Longdendale, Bredbury and Marple. A very good and sound copy.

Council for the Preservation of Rural England, 1939, 4to, pp. 75, well illustrated. Preface by Professor Patrick Abercrombie. Original card covers, a little dusty, but good, sound condition.

Manchester University Press,1950, first edition, pp.xx, 326, illustrations including a folding map at the end. Very good in the original cloth and the scarce dust jacket which is a little rubbed and chipped in places, but very acceptable and now in a loose protective sleeve. The uncommon first edition of this important work.

Winsford, (1897), pp. xiv,109, illustrated. Original cloth-backed printed boards. Covers dusty, some foxing, else a good copy. Deals with Over which is now part of Winsford.

Stockport,1990, pp. v, 61, illustrated. Very good in dust jacket which is snagged and torn at one corner. Number 72 of a limited edition, and also includes the original folder containing a leather bookmark as a memento.
