Marginal tear to frontispiece, early name and address written across title page ( Blas Rangel, a recorded Victorian photographer), lightly used, stitching a little weak, but a reasonable copy. Two of Rangel's portraits are in the National Portrait Gallery.

Small blank torner torn from one leaf, short, clean split to one fold of plate 2, else very good, clean and sound condition, Contemporary signature of Charles Nobileau on title page ( in the mid 18th century there was a Huguenot sheriff of Dublin of that name ).

J & A Churchill, London, 1915, 4to, pp. xvi, 624, illustrated. Original red cloth. Ink stamps of a Halifax chemical company on endpaper and title page. Please note that the back cover is marked with old damp stains, there is a tiny hole in the edge of the spine and a neat little library number on the spine. Nevertheless this is a sound copy of this comprehensive work. Very heavy so will be sent by courier. Please check with us for likely cost before ordering from abroad.
