Description:
London: Faber and Faber, 1938. First Edition. First Edition. ASSOCIATION COPY, inscribed by the author: "For Roy Plomley / who knows all about desert islands / Michael Powell / 1942." The book was inscribed on the occasion of Powell's appearance on the BBC radio program Desert Island Discs, where he was interviewed by Plomley, the show's founder. Photo illustrated throughout. Near… Read More

With Dagover's manuscript corrections to the text on virtually every recto, and, when a rewrite of a passage was required, on the verso to the of a given typescript passage on the recto.
