Very good. 2 vols.. VIII, 120, 5 & 91 (2) pages in text. 25 x 19.5 cm. 57 and 136 plates in heliogravure from photographs printed recto only by Lucien Vogel. Plus 157 line drawings by Albert Laprade. Text in French. Elegantly illustrated with fine examples of interior gardens and their layouts. Some of Laprade's drawings are to scale. Laprade collaborated with the author on this monograph with photos depicting an array of traditional Moroccan residences. This work was also published in France by Albert Levy. A small number of copies were published by Helborn. A tight set well printed with wide text margins. Book seller label of M. Sterling Carter, 414 Post Street, San Francisco. One spine label nicked.
