In Yellow paper covers and lettered in gold (slightly dulled) . An attractive little book - Sized 3.4" x 2.1" (8.7 cm x 5.2 cm). 8 pages (25-28pp and 45-48pp) have the bottom BLANK edges CUT OFF, but with hardly any loss to the text, except for some slight close-trimming, particularly to the fore-edge of page 26, where the December dates (1 to 31) from 20 onwards have lost the first digit. The first part of the book is a straight forward Almanac, each page with a blank page for notes opposite (nothing written on any). From page 28 onwards there are pages of 'Useful Information' - similar to that in our current diaries. A most attractive little publication 4" x 2. 5" (approx 10cm x 6.5 cm) in sewn blue wraps, with a woodcut of children praying around a table below the title, in a charming decorative border. Very clean. Internally the woodcut and title is repeated on the first page - a good deep impression - NO date shown but likely 1815/30? . The rest of the book is unillustrated but contains what is probably a version of Watt's 'The First Set of Catechisms and Prayers; or the Religion of Little Children under Seven Years of Age'. 30pp. Excellent condition, clean tight and bright.
