Also an illustration of a young boy on the spine. PO's signature on first fly leaf. Otherwise, a clean tight copy - no other marks. No DJ. The Human Comedya loving novel about a family during WWII. It was made into a movie starring Mickey Rooney , Fay Bainter and Frank Morgan. The book won a Pulitzer Prize, and the movie won an Academy Award for Best Picture. Rooney received an Oscar Nomination for Best Actor.

Light brown boards illustrated with orange and black. Thurber and his wife on bunny rabbit carousel ride. Even spine is in excellent condition. Bright colors. DJ is present, but not in tack. It's in 4 pieces with considerable edge wear.
