Ticknor & Fields, Boston, 1891. First Edition. Hardcover (Half Leather). Good Condition. Illustrator: various plates, photographs, drawings and colour plates. Newspaper slight crack in the hinges of both volumes, rubbing of the corners exposing cardboard through the leather, and a scratch mark of some sort on the front panel of the 2nd volume. That's the bad news. Internally, incredibly clean, there is no foxing, there is no offset tanning. The illustrations are clean, and have not faded. Bound to the front of each volume is the appropriate index. Size: Folio ( 12"- 15" tall ). Item Type: Newspaper.
