Illustrator: Photographic. 1.0 kg; not paginated, (the text block is 1.7 cm thick), illustrated photographically, by José Oster, with the exception of plate number 50 which was by Adolf Studly. There are 158 black-and-white images in the catalogue, with the introductory section of the book being a list of the artists, and their comments on their relationship with the arts of black Africa, Oceania, pre-Columbian America and "archaique" Japan (I cannot quite get the flavour of the word to translate although it probably means pre-contact with the West Japan).
