First edition, so stated, octavo, pp. vi, 392. Illustrations. All edges gilt. Previous owner name in gilt on front panel. Second previous owner name near top edge of free front endpaper. Short word or name crossed out near top edge of ffep next to four pin holes, as though a clipping had been stapled long ago. Text clean & unmarked. Overall GOOD in a FAIR-only publisher's textured black flex binding with spine & upper cover lettering gilt. Binding is worn from handling over the decades with rubs and chips along perimeters.

Wraps, octavo, pp. 34. Illustrated. Very good in the publisher's stapled illustrated cream-colored wrappers.
